I've photographed numerous weddings at Lumley Castle now, and each time I'm surprised that there are so many rooms available to choose from. This time the wedding reception was held in the Barons Hall.
The wedding ceremony was conducted at St Bede's Chapel in Durham, followed by drinks reception and canapes outside at Lumley before the wedding breakfast.
The weather was wonderful and the staff at Lumley, as always, made sure the day ran smoothly.
I always enjoy the intimate feel of Lumley Castle for weddings, despite it seeming like such a grand venue on first impressions.
