In the historic headlands of Hartlepool, the Borough Hall (built in 1865) makes a wonderful wedding venue!
A couple of hundred meters from the Borough Hall is the sea walls and beach - these make excellent back drops for photographs. Obviously it can get very cold and windy - especially in the winter!
If you are thinking about having wedding photographs on the beach - make sure you check the tide times before hand.
The inside of Hartlepool Borough Hall is a great place for group photos as there is a balcony which overlooks the entrance. This can give a unique angle to photos.
The Middlegate Room ceremony room is very big and has plenty of natural light for good photos.
For group portraits there is a large open area just outside the Hall with steps to allow different levels.
Overall, if you are getting married in Hartlepool, the Borough Hall is a beautiful little understated wedding venue.
