York Registry Office is one of the nicest registry offices I've been to. It's old, so looks beautiful from the outside, the ceremony room has a window in the ceiling - so the ceremony photos are lovely and bright, and the garden at the back is perfect for the formal wedding photos.
You can then walk 5 minutes through the city walls and past the Minster and you have the choice of reception venues in York. Perfect.
I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha and Darrel's wedding at York Registry Office in April, followed by a reception at Kennedy's wine bar. Here are a few of the wedding photos.
